Ah traditions.... Schroon Lake has become an important one for us over the years. And as always, we started off with a trip to visit with the Massachusetts Remillards....
And then it was off to Schroon Lake. It has become the case that our first hike is to the top of Mount Severance. It's 1.2 miles, so it's a good length. As the kids have aged, it has gotten easier and easier for them.
Day three is reserved for Spectacle Pond...
Of course, ice cream is also a tradition...
We did do some new things. On Friday, we went to the Word of Life rodeo for the first time. No pictures, but it was a really impressive show. We also visited the Adirondack Buffalo Company.
And we took a trip to Gore Mountain, where we took a gondola ride to the top and hiked down.
I read a book about the t.v. show Lost, so it's only right that we hiked to Lost Pond for our final outing.
And then there was our final trip to the lake... and our final exit...
We also have pizza on our last night, this time accompanied by a game of Magic.
And one last walk downtown for ice cream, where we bumped in to the local fire company.
So another year is in the books, giving us new stories to tell and memories to keep.
