This is my first major blog post so far and I am a little bit nervous.😌
this is our 8th day in France and we are settling in nicely.
We live right over a quaint French cafe and it has good Nutella crepes.
As you can tell I took some memory photos before we left.

The plane was not my favorite part of this trip but after we got settled in it wasn't too bad
(plus I got some nice pictures)
The food on the plane was amazing. Much better than expected.
We got no sleep (except for Ruth who slept like a rock)and the lines were terrible.
I was amazed when I looked at Amsterdam. It had both skyscrapers and farms.
It had upgraded without forgetting the olden ways. It was amazing.

Mr. Perkins took on a very hard job. Bringing us sleepy bundles of poo to our apartment.

We arrived!
I passed out when I hit the pillow.

So we finally get to the Quirks of France! (There will be more in other volumes of course.)
We start off with the locks. They are like the ones in Fairy Tales that have the huge keys.

Then there is the light switches. There is another kind that I will show you in the next volume.
And we couldn't do this blog post without the slugs now could we.

I am sorry that I don't have pictures of the school (so far). But I will tell you about it.
The first day was utterly hectic. We had no idea about what was about to hit us when we walked into the gates. We were early.
We got a tour of the school by a lovely woman named Marie who works both at the monastery and the school. We met our teacher who speaks English (PHEW) and is really nice.
About 10 minutes later it was the bus drop-off time. A wave of bodies hit us like a tsunami.
They were all going to our classroom and it was still 20 minutes till school-time!
As it turns out you put you backpack in the classroom before school even starts.
A big subject in our school is math and reading. The teacher helps translate for u s and we do the problems. Our school cook does not mess around with her lunches! Every meal with her is a three courser. Don't tell Sylvie (The monastery's cook ) this but our school cook makes better meals then her! Next after lunch we play dodge ball(A major sport in France) and tomat tomat ketchup ( Pretty much like duck duck goose)
